The difference between mainstream and independent- Mainstream films tend to come from major film companies like Disney or Warner bros and will normally have high budgets, A-list actors, large use of CGI and large amounts of marketing. Whilst independent films tend to come from small production companies with small budgets, unknown actors and a tend to have more of an arts aesthetic to make up for its like of high budgets or CGI.
what technology was used to produce both Jungle book movies- the original jungle book film in 1967 used hand-drawn backgrounds, as well as multiplane camera to give the jungles a notion of depth. They used 'cels' which allowed several layers t be filmed at once and meant they didn't need to repaint the backgrounds repeatedly. The Jungle book 2016 was produced by Jon Favreau and was shot with only one actual actor, Neel Sethi, with the rest o the cast being voice actors dubbed over CGI animals.
why do Disney re-make classics- Disney classics are some of their most profitable movies of all time, their for instead of running the risk of spending 100s of millions on coming up with new ideas and characters with no guarantee that the movie will make a profit, Disney can just remake their classics which already have a known and are almost guaranteed to make a profit.
