the Guardian

                         The Guardian analysis

the headline

'Breakthrough on fishing rights as Brexit talks hang in the balance'
very to the point no catchy title like the daily mail

The image

a image of Lincoln high-street where people are completely disregarding the tier 3 lockdown restrictions with he tagline 'Crisis? what crisis? shoppers risk in dash to high street'
does not relate to the headline story and most likely uses the image to incite viewers to buy the paper.

The Masthead

Navy blue with white font making it look modern and sleek. Shows that they are more of a liberal, progressive paper open to new ideas and change. compared to their counterpart the daily mail which clings to more old fashion conservative values.

The Copy

The guardian has a lot more detail on the front of the paper and attempts to give you as much information as possible as a broadsheet.

families sue Met over police spies' use of dead children's identities

families of deceased children are suing the metropolitan police after learning that their dead family members identities have been used to infiltrate gangs by undercover police.
the stories use words such as disgusting, ghoulish and disrespectful and show that they are heavily in support of the families. They even mention a story they did in 2013 where they uncovered many of these identities.
