in an article by the sun newspaper, it is revealed that Boris may be planning to cut the tv license fee with the paper proclaiming the license to be outdated. considering the fact that the Sun is a right-wing newspaper. They support the view of the Prime Minister as he is head of the Conservative party. They also attempt to appeal to the middle to working class sector.

The article also describes this view to cut the fee as popular among the working class, this could be due to the fact many families in Britain do not use the BBC services like the television shows or radio broadcasts and therefore do not see it necessary to pay the £157 for an unused service. Another reason for a distaste of the license fee would be how outdated it is. With the surge in technology over the past few years the BBC has been made somewhat redundant with its lack of much content and lack of innovation. While streaming service are able to provide much more entertainment for fractions of the cost.
